Welcome!

Over the past forty years, American streets have been designed as channels for motorized vehicles. Our city streets look like highways: smooth and straight and with narrow or no sidewalks. There are no trees, flowers or benches to welcome pedestrians to the street or to create a sense of place.

It is time to reclaim our streets and convert them to more attractive, public spaces that can be shared by pedestrians, bicyclists, public transit and automobiles. Streets should be safe, comfortable and interesting for the pedestrian. They should enable neighbors to know each other and protect their community.  The safer pedestrians feel on the street, the more they will use it. The more pedestrians use the street, the more likely that retailers, restaurants, and other businesses will locate there to serve them. Vibrancy is a continuum.

There has never been a better time to invest in revitalizing older, urban neighborhoods. People are being drawn to the convenience and culture of walkable urban neighborhoods across the country.

Join us in re-developing a vibrant, creative, pedestrian-friendly, and commercially-viable Main Street in the West Bluff community.
