We envision a West Bluff that attracts people to visit, and live, because of its unique neighborhoods, vibrant commercial and intellectual activity and community spirit.
Mission Statement
To energize and organize the West Bluff community around the principles of New Urbanism to create a vibrant, economically strong, pedestrian-friendly Main Street where people want to come.
GOALS
I. Get the community excited about, committed to and engaged in transforming Main Street into a safe, pedestrian-friendly mixed-use district that implements New Urbanist design principles.
Present information about New Urbanism (traditional town planning) concepts at monthly/bi-monthly meetings and on CWWB website
Demonstrate successes elsewhere by presenting case studies where New Urbanist principles have been applied
Create a PR plan to inform, invite input and build support
II. Build and promote a community vision for a Walkable West Bluff.
Advocate specific comprehensive strategies for slowing and balancing traffic on Main Street and in neighborhoods
Support retail development that addresses needs of residents, students, visitors and businesses
Present plans for vibrant public spaces that engage people and also provide visual traffic calming
Support efforts to ensure safe routes from and within neighborhoods to Main Street and schools, and amenities for bicyclists and individuals using public transportation
III. Foster cooperation among West Bluff stakeholders by modeling an inclusive process that seeks input and promotes common interests.

Build relationships with other community organizations pursuing similar goals such as local neighborhood associations, West Bluff Council, Renaissance Park Commission, Heart of Peoria Commission, Urban Living Initiative, and other special interest groups
Involve Main Street business owners and Bradley University in the Campaign by collaborating on marketing, surveying/market research, developing specific business/retail plans and developing public spaces
